All Spruced Up for Santa



This tut was written for those with a basic knowledge of psp.

I am using the awesome artwork of  Arthur Crowe.

Supplies Needed

I used PSPX...but any of them should work.

Filters
Xero-Radiance and Soft Vignette
EyeCandy4000-Gradient Glow
Font I used was TheNautiGal

Drop Shadow usually V2 H2 50 black

 

Let's get started

*Remember to add your drop shadow as you go along*

Open the template, hold the shift key and hit the d key to duplicate, close the original, delete the credits.
Go to Image, Canvas size and make it 800 x 800 or one you prefer.
Paste paper 5, apply Mask 95 first, delete and merge group.
Paste paper 20, apply mask 84, delete and merge group, adjust your mask to fit your tag later.
Merge the top red rectangle down with the bottom one, paste paper 2, invert and delete, also delete the template layer too, select none.

Merge the bottom gold strip layer down with the top gold layer, paste paper 22, invert delete.
Select top crème square, paste paper 16.
Merge the Top and bottom green circles,  paste paper 1.
Select the white rings, add a new layer, fill with red, add noise at 40%.

Paste framefab1 over the red circle part. Add noise at 40% to the
red circle part.

Select the gold circle, Paste paper 12, invert, delete .
Paste your close up resize first if needed, invert and delete.
Change the blend mode to screen or one you prefer.
Apply the xero filter-Radiance.
Then apply the Soft Vignette with these settings
Elliptical, Foreground color, Diagonal Dots,
3, 2, 0, 255

Select the gold rectangles, apply EyeCandy4000-Chrome with these settings
Reflection Map-Outdoor.tif,
10.80, 50, 50, 0, 72, Inside Marquee checked
 and recolor to your liking, I did mine in green.

Select the crème rectangles, add noise at 40% or paste a paper of choice.

Resize your tube, if using the same one I am, I resized mine to 75%, place on the left side, move below the wordart layers, duplicate, move to the top and erase the leg area covering the wordart.

Paste the filmstrip below the tube layer and change the blend mode to hard light.
Select inside with your magic wand, expand by 4, paste paper 9, invert, delete, do not deselect yet, paste your tube how you like in each frame of the strip, then delete the excess of each one, then merge your tubes together. Duplicate, Gaussian blur at 4, change the blend mode to overlay or whatever you prefer, merge down.

Paste MsClaus sexy legs of choice, mirror, resize to 75%, move below your tube layer, duplicate, move to the top and erase the part covering the wordart.
Select each of the wordart and add a fat white gradient glow using EyeCandy4000, 3, 25 ,100
Resize the Christmas Cocktail to 45% and place on the left side.
Resize the Christmas lips to 20% and place on the right bottom side, free rotate to the left at 7,  all layers unchecked.

Add the sparkle layer below your second tube layer.
Paste the splat layer, and move to the bottom layer just above the mask layer and then up to the left top, duplicate, mirror and flip.
Back on the top layer, resize the candy canes to 45% and place by the glass on the left.
Paste the holly, move just above the mask layer and at the bottom on the left, duplicate and mirror.
I took the snowflakes and place them on the green paper in the filmstrip and erase the parts I did not want showing and move them around to my liking in other areas.

Add any other elements you would like.
 

Once happy with it all, close off any backgrounds, merge visible.
I added the xero filter Clarity once I merged, this is optional, you may like to just sharpen your tag.

Resize first, then add your copyrights and name.
